This is a place where horses who are too old to ride serve as companion & therapy animals for our equine therapy programs.
Our sanctuary of gentle old horses and farm animals offers a peaceful place for those who struggle with anxiety, addiction, ADHD or PTSD to both heal themselves and relationships with their loved ones.
We call it Carrot Therapy!

We haven't received these awesome awards because we save the lives of old horses. It's because we share this unique facility with the community.
YOU are who make our equine therapy and carrot therapy programs the heartwarming successes that they are today.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you :)
With many aging & disabled animals at the horse sanctuary, we have a particular appeal to the special needs community and veterans.
Seniors find it a treat to feed the animals or just enjoy being outside in the picnic area. The handicap accessible garden is an added treat for all.

Seniors find it a treat to feed the animals or just enjoy being outside in the picnic area. The handicap accessible garden is an added treat for all.
On the other hand, the veterans who may struggle with PTSD symptoms can come here and feel validated in knowing that they are able to bond to someone or something again after a traumatic event.
Overall, this is a place to bond with your kids through carrot therapy and equine therapy programs.
It is also a place where you to make difference with our volunteering program. Every Saturday at our Flight Way Road location in Winchester, California, we offer new volunteer orientation at 8 AM. You get to experience a tour of the ranch and understand the roles you would be taking on as a volunteer helping keep the sanctuary safe.
We strive to convey STAT Horse Sanctuary as a place to recapture your youth and escape from reality. Your comfort, happiness and safety matter greatly to us :)
Did you know that when you donate to STAT Horse Sanctuary:

$50 monthly will provide feed for a piggy, goat or sheep,
$75 monthly will provide feed for 1 alpaca, llama or donkey, and
$150 p/month donation to budget for the number of horses we can support.
